Praia da Barra, a poucos km’s do Alojamento
Barra beach, has an extensive sand and is located on the west coast of Portugal, in the district of Aveiro, next to the jetty that marks the entrance to the Port of Aveiro and where the Ria flows into. It belongs to the municipality of Ílhavo, located in the parish of Gafanha da Nazaré. To the south is Costa Nova beach and to the north is São Jacinto beach.
Of the existing built heritage, there is the Farol da Barra, Ponte da Barra and the wall. This wall borders the entrance of the Aveiro Port bar to the south, and is about 500 m long, entering by the sea. This wall separates the existing sand, being the beach of the half orange beach to the north, and the beach of the bar itself to the south. Being a guarded beach. The existing church is dedicated to the Sagrada Família, being located next to the Camping Park of Barra beach.
